Hi, everyone! I’m Caitlin from Healthy Tipping Point and I’m one of the founding members of HLS.  I am SO excited to see old and new faces at HLS2011 – can you believe it’s our third year?  I can’t!  I know that many people get nervous before the Summit, but I’m here to assure you that there is really no need to freak out.  Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and if you’re friendly and welcoming, too, you’ll be just fine!

But to break the ice, I thought we should play a fun little game.  Hopefully, this way, we will get to know each other a bit more before HLS begins.  I hope you can search the comments section and find friends with similar backgrounds or experiences to meet up with in advance!

Ready… set… go!

Answer the following questions in the comments section:

1 – My name is … ; I blog at … (if applicable); I live in this city/state…

Dear Emily –

Good news for you. Your favorite sports team is about to become the Wisconsin Badger Football team. Yes, I’m serious. I will teach you all you need to know to be a Bucky Fan. Julie can help, because she is savvy.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be one of two things. a) a writer. b) a zoo keeper who also designed clothes for the animals. Yes, I’m serious.

Now that I’m an adult, I am a v. v. v. happy person. ;)

My favorite sports team is The Wisconsin Badgers [football, basketball, track, etc.]

If I had two wishes, and one had to benefit others and the second wish had to directly benefit myself, my wishes would be freedom. All around.

“The worst/most embarrassing CD/Album I’ve ever owned” is the most impossible question for me to answer. I’ve been looking at the screen for a good 10 minutes, clueless. The first two CDs I ever purchased (together from Best Buy, of course) were the Sister Act soundtrack and Boys II Men. So, there’s that.

The last movie that really moved/disturbed/thrilled me was Milk, because it was SUPER inspiring and heart wrenching and well done.

If you’re looking for me at HLS, I will probably be rattling off presidential fun facts and wearing something that doesn’t fit properly. [I'm a mess, but I still love the Presidents.]

6 – The worst/most embarrassing CD/Album I’ve ever owned is… Ace of Base

7 – The last movie that really moved/disturbed/thrilled me was … because… The Town and Lincoln Lawyer because they were really thrilling, kept me on the edge of my seat and the main characters were not too bad to look at ;)

5 – If I had two wishes, and one had to benefit others and the second wish had to directly benefit myself, my wishes would be to create a foundation so that no child would go to bed hungry and for myself I would wish for the ability to own a Manhattan apartment.

6 – The worst/most embarrassing CD/Album I’ve ever owned is Amy Grant House of Love. She was also my first concert. I was quite a cool 4th grader.

7 – The last movie that really moved/disturbed/thrilled me was Black Swan because it really made me think about how much we are affected by how we are raised and the pressure we put on ourselves to be perfect.

8 – If you’re looking for me at HLS, I will probably be the annoying extrovert loudly saying hi to old friends and trying to meet new ones, and I’ll be wearing jeans and a comfy tee shirt.

I love Spain and soccer too. But my favorite team is Betis from Sevilla. Studied there for my degree and was hooked. Still have my bufanda. It was hanging in my classroom the two years I taught High School Spanish. :-)
