has brought us to the 5th Annual Healthy Living Summit!

Here’s your Healthy Living Summit 2013 Planning Committee:

Julie Grice

Julie is the blogger behind Savvy Eats, where she uses her food science & engineering background to teach readers about making the most of their time, money and ingredients with weekly menus, experiments on the best way to store foods and canning and freezing instructions.  She also blogs about gardening, recipes and appreciating the little things in life.  Julie serves as a blog designer for Savvy Blog Services and as an administrator for the Healthy Living Blogs community website.

Heather Shugarman

Heather Shugarman is the director of HealthyLivingBlogs.com, a site designed to enhance the already tight-knit, supportive community of the healthy living blog world. An amazingly strong connection is formed when like-minded individuals come together to encourage one another, and that’s exactly what HLB is here to accomplish.

On her own healthy living blog, Then Heather Said, she shares a genuine look into several aspects of her life, noting that healthy living is more than simply nutrition and fitness. Through her dedication to ‘make one healthy decision, then make another’, she has lost 50 pounds (and counting), while discovering a love for mid-distance running and urging others to make their own healthy decisions, one at a time.

The HLS Planning Team

Get to know a bit about the wonderful bloggers helping to make Healthy Living Summit 2013 a reality.

Kelly, the blogger behind Brownies and Zucchini, is a self proclaimed picky eater. In 2010 she started a blog that follows the new foods, products, and restaurants that she tries in an effort to diversify and healthify her choices. On Brownies and Zucchini you can also find Kelly talking about her pets Olive and Miss Kitty, her travels, and some arts and crafts like knitting, photography, and Project Life. She is also a staffer for HealthyLivingBlogs.com. Kelly is looking forward to attending her fourth Healthy Living Summit in the Twin Cities, and is very excited to be a part of the planning team this year!
marybaum20Mary blogs over at Food And Fun On The Run about everything from marathons, to recipes, to her energetic puppy, Winnie. Her goal through blogging is to share her love for running, and instill the view in her readers that fitness can be fun, and incredibly rewarding, one mile at a time.

Most recently, Mary has earned her personal training certification from NASM and started her own running coaching business as well. She is excited to be able to share the knowledge from this new certification with all of her readers!
E Evans D'AscensaoElizabeth writes the lifestyle and healthy living blog On Tap for Today, where she writes about CrossFit and running, vegetarian and gluten free food, entertaining and organization, and life in the city with her husband and their French bulldog, Clark. She works in non-profit leadership, is passionate about social justice and aspires to dance like Michael Jackson.
AliciaAlicia is the enthusiastic blogger behind the full of spirit and ultra-fun site The Wannabe Foodie. She is a librarian and book lover who spends her free time reading, cooking and training for half marathons. At The Wannabe Foodie you can find discussion on running, recipes, and the coolest dog in all the land, Butternut Squashington.  Alicia is an HLB Staffer and was a part of the HLS12 planning and volunteer team.
MindyMindy shares her journey of learning to live the best kind of life over at just a one girl revolution.  On the blog, she shares snippets about her life in Michigan including maintaining an 80+ pound weight loss, running adventures (including her first marathon later in 2013!), yoga love, and book reviews.  She is currently in school to become a certified health coach and is an Ambassador for the Greatist and FitFluential communities, as well as a staffer over at Healthy Living Blogs.
KristinKristin Vrana, the girl behind FoodFash.com, uses blogging as a way to document her adventures in the kitchen, around Austin, and wherever life takes her.  She [tries to] blog mostly about fresh, healthy recipes, the kind of meals she grew up eating.  But lately she's been quite the baker and has found great happiness putting her KitchenAid to use as often as possible.  She also enjoys changing it up on occasion by sharing her latest fashion and music finds with readers.
MollyMolly is born and raised Minnesotan with a passion for fitness, nutrition, and spontaneous adventures with her family and friends. Recently graduating with her Masters in Education, Molly’s pursuits have allowed her to wear many hats: lacrosse coach, nutrition advisor for student athletes, and writer. She also helps grow her family’s wine and gourmet food store, Surdyk’s, of which she is the fourth generation. Between trying new workouts, and playing with her dog, Cohiba, you can catch Molly reviving her blog “Giving Anything but Up.
