Join Brittany Mullins (Eating Bird Food), Julie Fagan (Peanut Butter Fingers), Courtney Horan (Sweet Tooth Sweet Life), and Heather Shugman (Then Heather Said) as they discuss the darker side of blogging: Negative comments, mean-spirited emails, snarky tweets and media backlash. Even in a community filled with positive messages and supportive readers, a negative comment can deeply affect any blogger. This panel will discuss how to handle these types of issues and ways to rise above the negativity.

Then Heather Said developed as Heather Shugarman ran her way to the bright side after her broken engagement, finding a healthier lifestyle along the way. Through her dedication to make one healthy decision, then make another, she has lost 50 pounds (and counting). Heather shares a genuine, honest look into several aspects of her life, noting that healthy living is more than simply nutrition and fitness.

Her blog frequently shares super-simple recipes, sweaty workouts and random musings that touch on a variety of topics ranging from The Bachelorette to self-esteem issue caused by the Comparison Trap.
Courtney writes the healthy living blog, Sweet Tooth Sweet Life. Her interests in healthy living, fitness, food, fashion, and living life to the fullest, show that a healthy, balanced lifestyle is attainable for anyone. She knows how to make exercise FUN, and loves balancing out delicious and healthy meals, with fun sweet treats, proving that a little indulgence now and then is totally acceptable. She never deprives herself of her favorite indulgences, but is constantly striving to maintain an overall healthy attitude about food, fitness, and life.
