Quaker Oatmeal Bar

by admin on August 12, 2011

Who loves Oatmeal?!

Well, we’ve got a spread for you!

Quaker Oats is hosting a Oatmeal Bar for all Healthy Living Summit attendees on Sunday, August 20th from 9 -11am.

Attendees will have a chance to design their own bowl of oats with a full toppings bar, fresh fruit, and Quaker Oatmeal Squares. We’ll have the classic crowd favorites of cinnamon, brown sugar and raisins, but we’re interested to see how we could jazz these toppings up to take this oatmeal bar over the top!

You can help us by designing your ideal bowl of oatmeal right now! Leave your favorite oatmeal toppings below and we’ll pick a random winner to receive a Quaker Oats pack of goodies at Healthy Living Summit next week. Be sure to get creative and have fun!

And who knows? A few favorites may just end up at the Quaker Oatmeal Bar on Sunday!

Brown sugar (you know you taste so good), pumpkin and pumpkin spice, chocolate chips, and everything nice…

That’s what little girls are made of. Err… I mean great bowls of oats.

AHH OATMEAL BAR!?!?!? My eyes lit up when I saw that post! I goto Dishes To Go in NYC and they have an amazing oatmeal bar with SO MANY topping it’s rediculous. My favorite oatmeal toppings are peanut butter, jam, flax seeds, banana, muesli, and honey!

The tricky part about creating a perfect boal of oatmeal is that it changes so often.

But the most recent bowls I’ve had included: sliced banana, coconut butter, homemade pumpkin butter, and some walnuts for crunch.

peanut butter, cinnamon and raisins is my fave combo.
Sometimes mashed banana + maple syrup when I am craving pancakes but rushing to work.

I love putting any kind of berries on top, as well as some brown sugar (a la JP’s answer above), almond slices, and recently PB&Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter. There’s really no end to the combos you can make. So excited for HLS!

My favorite bowl would include a dash of cinnamon, sea salt and brown sugar. Then a decent scoop of Trader Joe’s roasted flax almond putter (or valencia pb) and a handful of dried tart cherries, fresh blueberries and sliced banana. Topped with a sprinkling of granola and coconut flakes. mmm…

Oatmeal’s my favorite!!! I think my favorite way to eat it is with a little brown sugar stirred in and lots of berries and a big scoop of home made almod butter on top and some walnuts for a little crunch!

I’ve actually just recently started to become a fan of oatmeal (yeah, I know) so my favorites are pretty standard: maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Ooh and strawberries and bananas might be good too. I haven’t really ventured out too much yet

Nut butters are essential! I rotate between Peanut Butter & Co. Dark Chocolate Dreams, Cinnamon Raisin Swirl, and Nature’s Promise Sunflower Seed Butter. I also like to add Emerald’s Sweet and Salty Chocolate Peanut Butter Nuts and some banana. If I am feeling really sweet I might drizzle some agave. Yummm!!!
I am dieing to try the warrior crunch granola though! I think that will be the perfect crunch and accent! Cant wait to pick up my bag next week!

Favorite toppings for my oats would have to be a scoop of peanut butter, raisins, and a crumbled homemade treat of some sort…cookie, muffin, ANYTHING. I’ve always said that toppings definitely make the oatmeal! :)
