We are excited to announce the schedule for Saturday, August 14th. We learned last year that so many of you had knowledge and experiences to share, so this year we’ve put together a day full of presentations by some amazing bloggers and readers that fit into this year’s theme – Healthy Mind, Body and Soul. You will be able to choose freely between events in Track I and II to make the day what you want.

  • Fueling for Fitness: Perform Well and Recover Quickly from Your WorkoutsBody Rebecca and Heather will cover the fundamentals of sports nutrition for everyday exercises and endurance athletes. During this presentation they’ll present foods that show promise for boosting performance and aiding recovery, discuss new approaches to fueling for endurance events, and the importance of fueling before, during and after your workouts. They’ll also introduce new trends in sports nutrition and training your body to burn its energy efficiently!
  • Healthy Entertaining: Learn how to be a great hostess while maintaining your healthy lifestyle – Body/Soul Entertaining can be really fun and easy, especially when you plan ahead. Sabrina of RhodeyGirlTests.com will teach you how to create a menu, make a thorough to do list, prepare your house, set a gorgeous table, and make your guests comfortable. Your guests will never want to leave after you learn these tips!
  • Stepping Up Your Blog PhotographyMind/Soul Having beautiful photographs can really make your blog stand out!  Improve your photography skills and learn some tips and tricks to create more beautiful images in this workshop led by photographer and blogger Nicole Carpenter. You will learn to use your camera to it’s fullest potential, whether it’s a point & shoot or SLR.  No experience necessary and bring your camera!
  • You Can Have It All: Time-management and organization for your healthy lifestyle – Mind/Soul Three very busy bloggers will teach you how to fit what is truly important to you into each day.  Join Kath, Morgan, and Sarah to learn how to use agendas and calendars, make routines, plan ahead, prioritize, and even [gasp!] say no!  You will leave this session with valuable information and strategies to help you get things done and make things work in a healthy, happy way.
  • The Ups and Downs of Pressing Publish: Getting Real about the Blogging Community – Mind/Soul Come share your thoughts on the blogging community in an open conversation for both bloggers and readers! The panel discussion, moderated by Anne P. of fANNEtasticfood.com, will include positive ways blogging has impacted your life, such as making new friends, gaining a healthier body image, and the discovery of a like-minded community, as well as overcoming challenges like blog jealousy, cliques, and finding your own blogging niche. Audience participation will be encouraged!
  • The Five Ws of Strength Training – Body Come discover the answers to ”Who? What? Why? When? Where? How?” of strength training with Chandra! During this panel we will discuss the benefits of strength training and basics on how to put together a strength workout.  We will discuss different types of strength workouts, when to do them, ways to keep things mixed up, make it fun, and help you get comfortable in the weight room.  We will also practice proper form for some basic, popular strength exercises.
  • Yoga – Mind/Body/Soul Learn how challenging yoga can be during a class led by Corey Kelly from TriBalance.
  • Stop Staring Over Your Shoulder: How to Avoid the Self-Comparison Trap – Mind/Soul This presentation will analyze the negative effects of comparing yourself to others–both in the blogworld and on the street. Examples Gena and Caitlin will discuss include the proliferation of healthy eating “trends,” the dangers of eating in a way that’s out of step with your needs, the anxiety created in the media by photoshopping and unrealistic portrayals of the female body, and competitive fitness routines.

Will there be a live feed again this year. Cause I definitely can’t attend but loved following along last year.
