Warrior Crunch

by admin on August 3, 2011

We have some big news to share from Healthy Living Summit headquarters!

One of our favorite granola companies (Nuts About Granola) and one of our favorite causes (Cancer Warrior) are teaming up this month for something big. They’re launching Warrior Crunch, an energy-packed granola, full of whole grains, almonds, anti-oxidant rich cherries and dark chocolate; that was specifically formulated with cancer patients in mind.

We’re honored to announce that Warrior Crunch will debut at this year’s Healthy Living Summit on August 19th and – here’s the best part! – all of the proceeds of Warrior Crunch from August 1st to October 31st will go to Susan Ehrhardt of “The Great Balancing Act”, who was recently diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Good granola for a good cause!

Nuts About Granola will have a booth set-up on the Saturday of Healthy Living Summit to promote and sell Warrior Crunch. You may pre-order Warrior Crunch now at the Nuts About Granola website for pick up at Healthy Living Summit or you can have as many bags as you like shipped directly to your house. :)

To help spread the word, Sarah from Nuts About Granola would like to give one bag of Warrior Crunch away on the Healthy Living Summit Blog. This giveaway is open to any and everyone, whether you’re attending this year’s Healthy Living Summit or not. To enter please leave a comment below with your inner-warrior mantra. (i.e. ‘I will not let this beat me, I am stronger than this.’)

You have until Sunday, August 7th at Midnight to enter. A random winner will be drawn and announced on Monday morning.

Good Luck!

My latest mantra was pulled from the tag of my favorite sports bra by Moving Comfort, “a fit woman is a powerful woman.” I say it to myself any time I feel like quitting an exercise early. :)

A mantra that I have posted on my computer monitor is “Whatever your 110% looks like, give it”. I got this from Marni&nbsp and I just love it.

My best friend just finished her 72nd (and hopefully last!) doctor’s appointment fighting breast cancer, so I’ll share a mantra from her (though she never officially said it, she lived it every day).

“Even cancer can’t slow me down!”

She continued and finished optometry school and 2 internships fighting every step of the way. If that’s not inspiration to push through a bad day, I don’t know what is!!

This is fantastic!! I really wish I could come to HLS. I’m sad that it sold out before I could get a ticket.

When I go on runs, I often say to myself to the sound of my feet hitting the pavement, “You can do it”. It’s my mantra.

It may be a little corny, but I grew up loving books and always loved the The Little Train That Could. Instead of saying “I think I can” I like to say “I KNOW I can” as my mantra. that and Yoda’s “Do or do not. There is no try!” That’s what I get for being married to a Star Wars fan :D

Mine is “Pain is temporary.” The pain will be over at some point, just gotta get through it!

I keep it simple. When I’m starting to hitting a wall, I tell myself “You got this.”

I like to remind myself to “Just keep swimming” when things are getting tough.

Awesome Giveaway. My mantra right now is on a Quotable card: “Overcome the notion that you must be regular. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary.” -Uta Hagen

I am sad to miss HLS this year. but hopefully will be back next year after I tackle the mess I’ve gotten into since my mom passed away and trying to clean out her house from 1200 miles away, while using up ALL of my time off work for vaca has turned me into a blithering idiot some of the time.
I can do this.

My mantra – especially since I’ve started running – is something that my favorite yoga instructor says a lot. “Just this moment. Just this breath.” It applies to so many situations, I love it!

Since I am a HUGE fan of Walt Disney I have always lovedhis quote “if you can dream it, you can do it!” I try to tell myself this everytime I get discouraged or feel like something I want is impossible to achieve. Everything is impossible when you don’t at least try!

my mantra is EGBOK – Everything’s Going to be OK — my grandma always said this and she was a fighter!

My mantra is “You are SO much stronger than you think!” That helped me during half marathon training and also gets me through a busy day with work, kids, running and cooking healthy dinners for my family. Can’t wait to try the Warrior Crunch, it sounds delicous and I am so proud of the cause it supports!
